Wedding Portraits at the VEA Newport Beach – Rennie + Gabe

We can’t believe that the 2023 wedding season has begun already! We are so excited to share the wedding of Rennie and Gabe, our first wedding in January, at the VEA Resort in Orange County.

The Venue

The VEA Resort in Orange County is the newest resort in the area. The venue is a mix of chic, sophisticated, and modern luxe. This coastal retreat is excellent for your wedding because your guests can enjoy a little getaway during your wedding weekend; it is truly an escape. The VEA is located near the beach, shops, and great restaurants.

About the Rennie and Gabe

Rennie and Gabe met in high school but started dating after college when they reconnected. We love this kind of love story! Gabe proposed at Hotel Del Coronado, a really special place for Rennie because her family took vacations there every year growing up.

Getting Ready and The Ceremony

We started the morning with Reenie getting ready; spending the morning with her and Beauty Unveiled was so much fun. Reenie wore a stunning long-sleeved gown, perfect for a winter wedding. We headed to spend some time with Gabe and his groomsmen; they got ready and enjoyed a glass of Blue Label Whiskey.

Reenie and Gabe had a traditional Jewish ceremony at Temple Bat Yahm. It was a beautiful and emotional ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. The chuppa was covered in flowers, and the aisle had white roses down the middle. The Jewish ceremony traditions are so sacred and intimate we really enjoy being a part of their wedding traditions.

The Reception

Their reception took place in the ballroom of the VEA. The couple had the ballroom decorated to the nines. The flowers were a mix of high and low centerpieces, alternating between round tables. The flowers had pops of light peach in between a mix of white flowers. The couple and their families danced all night, and one of our favorite parts of the reception was the horah dance. The horah is when the couple is raised on chairs together to celebrate their new marriage.

Our favorite moments from their wedding day were the Jewish ceremony and traditions, the intimate moments between their families and friends we captured, and most of all, how sweet and humble Rennie and Gabe are.
