Josh and Olivia met back in 2014 on a trip to Disneyland. Josh and Olivia knew of each other from InterVarsity but hadn’t talked that much. Josh first took note of Olivia because he thought she had a unique taste in music (she was a Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes fan at this time). She was also an avid follower of Liverpool and English football.

Their Love Story
The next semester Oliva and Josh found themselves in the same accounting class at USC. During the semester, they made it a point to study at Josh’s apartment. They talked about everything, life, family, and what their future entailed during their study sessions. Josh started to get feelings for Olivia but kept it to himself for a few months.
At the end of the semester, Josh asked Olivia to go down to Orange County to hang out during finals week; she did but dodged the relationship questions that she knew were coming. A few weeks later, Olivia decided that she did indeed like Josh, and they needed to give this a try.
After five years of laughs, eating at fabulous restaurants, job changes, and new friends, Josh and Olivia got engaged in front of their families on November 28, 2020. Their families have been such a massive part of their lives, and it was perfect having them at the engagement.
Engagement Session
We had the pleasure of capturing their engagement session in June this year. We spent the whole day with these love birds and three of their favorite locations in Los Angeles. For their engagement session, we wanted to capture their personalities and who they are as a couple.
We started the morning with a sunrise session at The Griffith Observatory. With the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest, we knew we would be able to capture so many different angles. Olivia wore a blue floral gown, and Josh wore a trendy blue suit. Wild and Behold Florals provided us with a gorgeous bouquet that matched Olivias dress perfectly.
We then headed to Tartine Santa Monica, one of their favorite cafes in their Santa Monica neighborhood. They had a second outfit for the cafe with a much more relaxed and fun look.
We ended our day with a romantic sunset shoot at the beach in Malibu.
We were so honored to capture Olivia and Josh’s engagement session and can’t wait for their wedding in February of 2022 at the brand new Grand Gimeno in Old Towne Orange. If you are looking for a full-day engagement session, let’s chat!
