Do you remember Josh and Olivia’s full-day engagement session we did last year in Los Angeles? This gorgeous couple finally got married in February, and we have so much to tell you about this lovely day at the Grand Gimeno in Old Towne Orange, California.

The Venue

We are so lucky to be one of the first vendors to be at this new venue. Grand Gimeno is located in Orange, California and it’s one of Jay’s catering newest venues. Grand Gimeno opened for events and weddings in the Fall of 2021. It’s named after its original architect, Harold Gimeno, and has an old Spanish Colonial style/vibe. We love that it provides both indoor and outdoor spaces. On top of that, they have spacious and beautifully lit bridal and groom suites. Everything that you could ask for when looking for a venue.

The Details

Josh and Olivia’s wedding colors were light blue and white, with touches of blush. The style of their wedding was a modern garden theme. We started the morning with the couple and their bridal parties getting ready; everyone was laughing and joking all morning! Olivia wore a stunning off-the-shoulder Rita Vinieris gown, and Josh wore a classic all-black suite. The bridesmaids wore beautiful blue-colored dresses, and the groomsmen wore grey tuxes with blue ties to match the ladies.

The Ceremony

Josh and Olivia chose to do an intimate first look, just the two of them; it was so beautiful. The ceremony was adorned with cohesive flowers and gorgeous garden chairs. Olivia was walked down the aisle by her mom & dad. When Josh and Olivia said their vows to each other, we don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd. After the ceremony, we headed to the cocktail hour, where Jay’s catering passed terrific appetizers, and the guests enjoyed colorful cocktails.

The Reception

The reception kicked off with the first dances, speeches, and dinner. The guests and bridal party were so much fun.

Shortly after, Olivia changed into a traditional Qi Pao as a homage to her heritage. If you don’t know what a Qi Pao is, it is a one-piece Chinese dress that has its origins in Manchu-ruled China back in the 17th century. Back in the 17th-century, women wore this dress every day. However, it is now only worn for special occasions.

Everyone danced the night away! Olivia and Josh ended their wedding reception with a stunning sparkler exit surrounded by their closest family and friends!
