We know family sessions can be stressful sometimes, and they can be hard to prepare for. We wanted to share our top five tips on how to ease the stress and come to the session prepared and ready to enjoy your time with us and your family.

Here’s Our Top Five Tips:

1. Plan your outfits out at least a week ahead of time

Don’t wait until the last minute! Lay them all out together for a week to ensure you love the look of them together. A week ahead of time will give you time to change your mind and get something else if you don’t end up loving your first decision. Try to wear complimentary color palettes, earthy tones or neutrals (we promise you will love it!)

2. Put aside any props you want to bring with you

Some families like to bring holiday signs or mementoes. We would hate for you to forget them!

3. Set aside snacks for the kiddos

They might end up hungry during the session and sometimes they need something sweet (for a bribe) so we can capture those perfect smiles of theirs.

4. Pack a bag

Bring a bag with extra clothes just in case someone ends up dirty or messy, you just never know!

5. Rest

Make sure to get a good night’s rest the night before.

We promise if you do all of these things, the day of your session will be fun and relaxing.
