Franciscan Garden is tucked away in the heart of historic San Juan Capistrano. This venue feels like it is in Italy and is an excellent getaway for your wedding day. Franciscan Garden is a secluded garden venue that gives a magical old-world feel. Owned and operated by 24 Carrots, Southern California’s most sought-after catering and events company. The rustic and charming 5,000-square-foot property features an outdoor courtyard, expansive indoor space featuring historic brick and iconic chandeliers, two on-site suites, and exclusive catering.
We knew from the moment we met Michelle and Bobby that their wedding day would be so much fun. From their personalities to their personal style, we just knew their wedding day would be one for the books. As always, we started our morning out getting ready and shooting details. Michelle wore an absolutely stunning strapless all-over fitted beaded gown with a touch of 3-D flowers at the top of the bodice. Bobby wore a classic black suit and bowtie; they were the perfect touch of modern yet elegant.
Michelle and Bobby’s Wedding Day
Since there are two getting-ready suites at the venue and we were already there, we decided that Michele and Bobby would do their first look, bridal party, and portraits at Mission San Juan Capistrano, one of our favorite places to take photos of our couples! After their first look, we walked around Mission San Juan Capistrano taking bridal party portraits and couples portraits. It was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, and this part of our day was one of our favorite parts. Wait until you see Michelle’s bouquet filled with roses, orchids, and dried flowers!
The ceremony details were filled with dark wood details from the arbor to the chairs. Michelle’s mom and dad walked her down the aisle, and after a tear-filled ceremony, they were officially married, and it was time to party!
The Reception
The reception was filled with flowers, white linens, pink vintage glassware, and wood details. Their wedding cake was a two-tier white buttercream cake with pink specs and a figurine of their dog on the side of the cake; it was so much fun! After dinner, Michelle, Bobby, and their guests danced all night long. The dance floor was always full!
