With the combination of our posing expertise and our lifestyle approach, we will capture your family’s best moments. Our goal is to photograph your family interacting together as it was just another day hanging out, but in style.
With the readily accessible digital camera and advanced development of the cell phone, anyone can take pictures of a group of people, however, capturing emotions and making the image speak a thousand words takes a little more talent and creativity.
We strive to give you and your family the best experience possible by setting a stress free environment to relieve any sense of “pressure” in front of our cameras… We really want you and your family to just be yourselves and have a great time with us.
We service family and children photography sessions in both Los Angeles County and Orange County.
frequently asked questions
We recommend having family photos taken as often as possible to document milestones, however we understand that life can be busy. We suggest to schedule your next session close to a family event like birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays.
Most of our clients schedule family sessions annually. Our busiest months are September, October, and November with families gearing up for holiday photos. Please book your sessions early as our calendar gets filled quickly especially during those busy months.
Our studio only offers newborn + family lifestyle photo sessions. We recommend a family session with your newborn at the comfort of your home. This can be scheduled within the first two weeks of life.
As for your baby’s first year, we recommend scheduling sessions at 3 months, 6-9 months, and 12 months. These are the best times to capture super adorable milestones like raising their heads, sitting up, standing, and walking.
We do not have our own indoor studio and we book all our sessions on location at the beach, park, or other outdoor settings. Please check the list of locations we recommend below.
If you want indoor studio photos, we can definitely make it happen by renting one. Additional fees will apply and will depend on the studio you choose.
We can also have the session in the comfort of your own home. This is what we recommend especially if we are doing a family lifestyle session with a newborn.
Being based in Southern California, we are fortunate to have plenty of options when it comes to locations.
During the pre-session consultation we will discuss the type of look and feel you are looking for. From there we can better guide and suggest a location that would work best for you.
We have done maternity and family sessions all over Long Beach, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
All our collections include up to 5 people in a session.
Additional persons will be charged at $50/person. Pet(s) will be included in the headcount. Please inquire for a group larger than 10 people.
All our collections come with a pre-session consultation. During the consultation we will have a better idea of the overall look and can better suggest on wardrobe. Please check out our family and children galleries, blog, and Pinterest for inspiration.
Yes, you may include your dog(s) as long as the location permits it. Please bring someone that can look over your pet(s) as we continue with the shoot.
Please be advised that pets will be counted in the headcount.
Virath is allergic to cats so we will not be able to do sessions with cats or have the session in homes with cats.
Because each session is unique, the number of photographs will vary.
Typically, you can expect at least 60 images to proof in your private online gallery from a 60-minute family photography session.
Yes, we will carefully edit and retouch your images.
It depends on the collection you choose. All our collections come with a selected number of digital images and print credit. Please contact us to receive our investment guide for detailed pricing.
Yes, you will have the option to purchase additional digital images and prints directly from the online gallery.
All of our collections include a print credit which you will use to purchase prints and products directly from your online gallery.
For ideal lighting, we schedule all our sessions in the evening just about an hour before sunset. Depending on the season the time will vary.
If that doesn’t work for you, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
We typically do not schedule sessions for noon/early afternoon due to harsh lighting (creates shadows on faces) unless absolutely necessary and or if we choose a location that would provide sufficient shade/cover for less than ideal lighting conditions.
We select and deliver only the best images to your private online gallery for proofing or viewing.
To ensure the highest quality of workmanship, it may take up to 3 weeks to receive your online gallery from the date of the session.
