Have you ever visited The Mission, San Juan Capistrano? San Juan Capistrano’s Mission is a Spanish mission in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County. Founded November 1, 1776, in colonial Las Californias by Spanish Catholic missionaries of the Franciscan Order, it was named for Saint John of Capistrano. This Mission has gorgeous gardens and ruins; it is truly a fantastic location for your wedding portraits.

While you can’t get married at The Mission, you can have engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and family sessions done here. This location is very versatile and is perfect all year round. During the summer of last year, we attended Adorn Collective Workshops, where we spent two full days there! We met other amazing photographers and networked with vendors from the event. We also got to shoot some pretty beautiful things.
There are so many locations within The Mission that are great for photographs. Our personal favorite is in the back gardens. The gardens are overflowing with different types of blooms and cactuses. Fleur Gabrielle created an organic and large bouquet that was cohesive with the colors of Adorn Collective and the flowers on the grounds. Our bride wore a long spaghetti strap gown from Robert Bullock Bride with floral appliques; how fitting for this shoot!
We had such an enjoyable day with other wedding creatives, and we love shooting at The Mission. Luckily for us, we are members and get to go there whenever we want! If you are thinking about having your bridal shoot, engagement shoot, or wedding portraits taken here, let’s chat! We would love to bring your vision to life.
