We’re Krizelle and Virath, the dream team behind Two Fourteen Photography and the driving force behind hundreds of happy clients throughout Southern California and beyond. We can’t wait to meet you!
What lights us up? The opportunity we get to call our clients “friend” at the end of the day. The relationships we nurture are at the core of what we do. It’s the essence of our purpose. Simply put, when you’re a client of ours, you’re family. And our passion for family runs deep.
Just about everyone finds love in high school. If you’re asking me (Virath), I found love in more ways than one.
First, with photography – the elective I added to my schedule for the easy A. Second, with the cute sophomore girl, Krizelle – all four feet and eleven inches of her.
In 2010, we launched Two Fourteen Photography and transformed our passion into a business.
For years, we juggled hundreds of clients on the weekends as we powered through our stressful day jobs during the week. We made the most of the in-between moments to enjoy life together as newlyweds.
Cut to nearly a decade later, and we were burned out in every sense of the word. I suffered an injury performing my day job. My mother was diagnosed with cancer–she lost her life within the same year. Later, the coronavirus pandemic put an end to life as we knew it. During that time, our family suffered another loss as Krizelle’s father suddenly passed away.
To say we experienced a massive perspective shift would be the understatement of the century.
It’s times like these that you’re forced to realign and reflect on the things that are most important–for us, we viewed it as an opportunity. There were many sleepless nights where we wondered together, “What truly makes us happy?”
Again and again, our love of photography continued to call to us.
The thrill of empowering our clients to see themselves in a beautiful new way.
The adrenaline rush we could ride through a triple header wedding weekend.
The addiction to blowing our client’s wildest dreams out of the water.
At that moment, we decided to play full out.
We traded in the day jobs that were killing us for the career that has given us more life than we could’ve ever imagined. It’s true–it hasn’t been all rainbows and unicorns leading up to this point. Now? We love what we do. And we’re so grateful. With hundreds of clients behind us, we’re more obsessed than ever with what we do. We’re rocking a laser-like focus with a decade of experience in helping our clients thrive. In other words, we’re ready to capture your legacy – and every moment in between.
